Home Visits

Doctor's bagHome Visits are intended for patients who are too ill to attend surgery and those who are completely housebound.

If you require a home visit, telephone (01737) 761343 before 10:30. This helps us greatly to plan our day. Outside normal surgery hours the Surrey Primary Care Trust provides a deputising service.

The contact number for urgent calls during these hours is (01737) 761343.

NHS 111 offer help and advice 24 hours a day.
Contact them on 111.

Children with high temperatures should be brought to surgery and we will make every effort to reduce the waiting time for them to be seen by a doctor.

Lack of transport or social problems are not valid reasons to request a home visit.

Always try to attend surgery as medical examinations are easier in the doctor's consulting room and investigations, treatment, access to nursing staff and referral to hospital is also much quicker and easier to arrange.

Remember it takes at least half an hour of the doctor's time to do a home visit, in which time they could see several patients in surgery and you may be causing other people to wait.
